Some people don’t like what they see here. I have even had people attempt to extort me over changing the content of my site. We did make some simple changes because the person that WAS in charge of adding content made a bad judgment call, but that did not stop the extortion efforts. I am not going to get into much detail over the exact allegations. They were making unfounded copyright claims and threatening to get this site shut down. They may even make the claims and may even be successful in the short term, however we will pursue remedies available under The Hobbs Act and through the courts for torturous interference of business.
The Hobbs Act 18 U.S.C. 1951 (2) The term “extortion” means the obtaining of property from another, with his consent, induced by wrongful use of actual or threatened force, violence, or fear, or under color of official right.
Self proclaimed knowledge and ignorance are not a defense for criminal acts, nor are they a defense for tortuous interference and threats. If this person is successful in affecting my income from this site or others he will feel the full force of a Litigious Consumer / Webmaster. Actually what he claim to have a copyright on may already well be taken. So not only has he attempted to extort me he is also trying to claim a copyright he does not hold or could every possibly hold. This same person also plagiarizes other peoples work and makes it seem to be original content on his website. Oh what a wicked web we weave.
I don’t take kindly to unfounded threats and extortion. I may pursue his attempted extortion attempt through the courts anyway. Just to prove a point. If I do I will attach a copy of the filing here for the world to see. First I gotta make sure he is not living in a trailer park in wobbly box central. I do have business interest in Fayetteville and will be traveling there next week I will know for sure then if it is worth my time.
