Many time companies will try to take advantage of consumers. Most consumers are scared to fight back and that should not be the case. Lots of companies knowingly break the law because they know that consumer will not stand up to them and fight back. Most attorneys do not want to get involved with small consumer protection cases because they rather chase ambulances for the big payoff. So as a group of consumers we need to stand up for our rights.

I personally have sued telemarketers and collection agencies and have won every time. I also have settled many cases out of court with these type companies and I AM NOT AN ATTORNEY.
